Colossians chapter 3, verses 1 – 7 (NKJV)

1) If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2) Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
3) For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4) When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5) Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
6) Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7) in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

Folks, one very important principle I teach to my congregation is a philosophy of relationships. The premise of the discussion is to make people aware of others around them, which have a considerable amount of influence over them. I’m not talking about those that have authority over us but rather those that we have fellowship with, those that one chooses to “hang out with”.

The quote I am speaking of, I no not where it comes from and honestly, I don’t care who first said it. What I do care about is the truth within it’s meaning. And that is; “YOU ARE, WHO YOU ASSOCIATE WITH”. Maybe you have heard it before and then again maybe this is the first time you’ve heard it. No matter what, it is a true saying. It holds up in most ever test one can put it to.

So if you are looking to seek God and His ways, those things that are Godly, then start with this simple little philosophy and incorporate it into every facet of your life and see the difference that will take shape in your life. Besides, it is amazing what happens when one steps outside ones comfort zone, yet many times it is truly necessary in order to have true change in ones life to do so.

There are many biblical references one can make in reference to this little quote and over time I will bring them forth as well and along the way Gods wisdom will be reveled, like the Potter He is. Making you into an image that is Holy and Blessed in His righteousness and truth.

Until next time, may the blessings of God be upon you and guide you along your way.

Sincerely, Bishop Andrew R. M. Manley DD., O.S.A., O.S.P.

“Thy Holy Writ”

Jeremiah chapter 16, verse 16

16 “Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says the Lord, “and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

Warriors, do you consider yourself to be truly and fully “Christian” ? Do you know what is expected of you that call yourself “Christian” ? Are you prepared to do the work of the Lord as it has never been done before ? Being Christian is not just a word, it is a life style. A life style that is good, decent, loving and kind to all in this world, not just your small piece of it. Although we all have to start someplace.

When I have talked to you about things more important to you than God, what is it do you think I am talking about ? Do you think my words to harsh or not harsh enough ? Do you regard my messages as “whatever” ? Do you think for a moment that I do not love and worry about you, your life, your families and the such ?

I guess every preacher in the world asks themselves these questions from time to time. It is our job as directed by God to help you realize the truth of his will for your life and those that you love and care about.

The Prophet Jeremiah is trying to do his best to relay the message of Chapter 16 to those who need to hear it the most. Those that are lost. So to speak. It is a warning to all who do not follow after the way of the Lord with all diligence and respect. The fishermen in this passage are the increased ministers of the word of God and the hunters are those that are truly righteous and they will make known the truth and force evil out of the darkness and into the light for all mankind to see and know.

As a community of the Christian faithful, we need to make known that we are fishers of men and hunters of righteousness and Godliness. We need to stand firm on the word of God, Christ His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives. As well as the lives of those around us.

A very dear friend asked me to comment on this verse and at first I was reluctant but when you do as God wants everything falls into place and the message becomes clear. Clear at least to those that want to do His will in their lives. And there are many, many of you out here that do and for this I am pleased and so to is the Father. So please bring your questions concerning the scriptures to me. For I know that you are wanting to know the ways of our governance, our lord Jesus Christ. Keep in mind that sometimes it is best to read an entire chapter or two to understand His meanings and mostly pray. Pray before during and even after and ask the Father what it is He wants you to learn and may even do with the new-found understanding that He has given you. You just might be surprised of how He will use you to do His work, either as a fisher of men or maybe a hunter of the truth for His sake for all mankind.

Pray for those that need prayer like the lost throughout the world in places like North Korea, and the Middle East. I fear it is they that this scripture is in reference to. Them and all mankind that do not accept the Fathers teachings. Just remind folks if need be that Christ was not just a prophet like Jeremiah or any other, he “IS” the Son of MAN and GOD, for all mankind. Not just one group of believers that think they are right and all other people’s are infidels or the such.

Have a blessed day folks and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
God bless…

Sincerely your servant in the name of the Christ, Jesus

2013 the year of repentance, a new beginning…

Greetings fellow citizens of the world and Christian Warriors,

With 2013 fast approaching I want to take a moment to advise you of our commitment to you. We here at Celtic Cross Ministry have designated this year as the year of repentance. Meaning that this year you have an opportunity to change from doing things that are not pleasing to God and become the person He knows and wants you to be. It all starts with your responsibility to yourself and what it is to change something about our life that maybe causing you to not do the right thing or better yet keeping you from doing the wrong thing that you know is causing you to sin.

I’m not going to bore you with a list of items that are unpleasing to the creator, mainly because most everyone knows in their heart what is right and what is wrong. Lets put it this way for a moment. If you feel that what you are doing, going to do or are even thinking about is wrong, harmful or destructive to you or someone else, than you can pretty much bet that it is a sin in the eyes and heart of our heavenly Father. And if so you know you need to change your way of thinking and or acting.

With that said, here’s our commitment to you. Over the days, weeks and months ahead we will put up comments and articles as well as other topic relating subject matter that we feel might bring awareness to the general public on any given topic. These topics may include and addition to alcohol or drug abuse, domestic violence to pornography or even as far as human trafficking or child endangerment.

We intend to bring you information in a variety of formats to help you to grow to a point of becoming a better person and or even a better “Christian”. And it all starts with the realization that you are not perfect and that improvements for the positive is a better choice than the alternative. The alternative being an eternity in hell, or better yet being on the outside of heaven looking in. I really don’t think anyone really wants that to be the case for their life eternal. But we here at the Celtic Cross Foundation of Ministry will try to bring even the toughest hard-core individual around to enlighten them as to what Christ is, What He expects. And to what degree one must go in order to achieve the promises of Jesus Christ and an eternal life in the presence of God Himself.

We hope our efforts will not be in-vain. It is with great love and admiration for all people that we worry about your soul, more so than your personal feelings. God can help you with that and we’ll do what we can to aid our Lord to put the fear of God back in the mainstream of society. Granted it is with the love of God we do this and take this stance and it is that same love that God has put it into our hearts and in the hearts of those that need it the most.

We see a genuine problem with society in general and a lack luster attitude that will cause billions of people (fellow brothers and sisters if you will), to maybe condemning their eternal soul to an eternity of unrest. And a great unrest at that. We don’t want anyone to experience the latter of this statement. But as stated will offer you an opportunity to turn your life around and be all that Christ wants you to be.

So check back often for access to links and information that will only help you and help others around you to be that better person, that watchman to the sky and even a better more committed Christian with a better understanding of what it not only means to call ones self a Christian but to be the best Christian Christ wants you to be. Not only for yourself but for those around you and as a light on a hill for the world to see and want.

May this year of 2013, be the year of a new commitment to yourself through the love of your savior Jesus Christ. It will only re-enforce how much He truly loves you.

Sincerely yours in the service of Jesus Christ.
